This Trade Sends Kevin Durant To The LA Clippers in 6 Man, Multi Picks Package

After having a day to or 2 to process the Kevin Durant trade request news, I have concluded Kevin’s most likely landing spot; and not it is not the Miami Heat, or The Phoenix Suns. It’s a team the no one is even talking about. No not the Lakers, Celtics, Warriors, or Raptors. It is the LA Clippers. Simply put it the Clippers can realistically offer the best package for Durant, which leaves these two teams both better than where they started, and both looking like major finals contenders.

So here it is: Kevin Durant, and Joe Harris are headed to the LA Clippers, and the Brooklyn Nets would end up with a huge return of Paul George, Reggie Jackson, Brandon Boston, and Terrance Mann. Brooklyn would also receive Multiple First Round Picks, and picks swaps however many you want to add. I’m sure you all know what Terrance Mann is capable of, but Brandon Boston is a young BALLER only 20 years old.

This trade sets both of these teams up real nice to be contenders for the foreseeable future. Let’s start off by looking at the obvious contender LA Clippers potential lineup after a Durant Trade. John Wall at Point, Kawhi Leonard, Kevin Durant, and Robert Covington on the Wings, and Zubac in the Middle. This gives Norman Powell the role of 6th man scorer, and Luke Kennard, and Joe Harris coming off the bench as sharpshooters. With even more depth with Nicolas Batum, and Rodney Hood filling in minutes on the wing. If this team can stay healthy a champion is almost guaranteed for the first time in Franchise history.

As for the Brooklyn Nets its hard to predict what their starting lineup will be until I see what they get back for Kyrie Irving. I’m almost certain that Kyrie will be going to the Lakers, but I don’t see Russ going to BK so a 3rd team would need to be included which could bring in a potential Myles Turner or Gordon Hayward. But for now I will leave Kyrie out and show you just how good they will be after this Durant trade without even making an additional Kyrie move. At Point I have Ben Simmons, on the wings I have Paul George, Royce O’neal, and Seth Curry, at Center Nic Claxton. Reggie Jackson would be the scoring 6th man, as well as Cam Thomas, Terrance Mann, and Brandon Boston all solid role players off the bench. This team could even easily transition to small ball moving Simmons to Point/Center with 4 wings on the floor with him. Tell me this squad is not at least competing with the Bostons, and Miami’s of the world IF Ben Simmons is the same player he was pre Atlanta Hawks series. Ben Simmons surrounded with all this shooting and talent could potentially be a headache for opposing teams.
