I don’t think anyone in here doesn’t love Mikal Bridges. But if we have a chance to get Kevin Durant. You do it. Mikal has been a perfect teammate and player in every way.
But during the playoffs Mikal slowed way down. To be fair that’s on Monty. For not limiting his minutes, but regardless his numbers haven’t changed much from 21 to 22
We tried to win as a team and build through the draft, it was admirable but it didn’t work. Can we really expect Ayton, Cam, and Mikal to truly take that big stride like a Jordan Poole?
GS isn’t going anywhere and West teams will be better. Denver, LAC, and even Portland could make noise. Not to mention Paul is getting older and the window is closing.
Even with this same team the 2nd option was/is a 36/37 year old Chris Paul who plays slow but still eventually breaks down and the 3rd option was a Center with minimal post moves, no outside shot and questionable hands. It’s ok to pull the trigger. ~David Romero~
We’ve had two years of greater success than KD has had the last two years haven’t we. So it’s clearly working. Blowing up the team for a 1-2 year run when we’ve just had the best two year run in suns history makes ZERO sense.
Back up PG
Bigger wing
That’s it. ~Andre Sneed~
No. You absolutely don’t trade bridges for KD lol you trade Ayton Cp crowder SARIC cam Johnson cam Payne Craig anybody else damn near but not bridges
In an offensive role you can definitely expect them to make a big jump but guess who’s limiting their potential CP… the best I’ve ever see the suns is when either CP3 or Book aren’t playing and they are forced to rely on the other players. ~Joshua Payne~
There are some big concerns about Durant that can’t be overlooked. 1) He’ll be 34 years and 9 months old next June (when we need him most). 2) He only played 90 games these last 3 seasons, and while it’s true that this number is increasing (0, 35, 55) it should still be a big concern, remember he was fairly healthy for 12 seasons then all of a sudden his achilles popped. 3) He makes 44 millions, then 46, then 50, then 53. So even if he plays great let’s say for the first two seasons of his contract, he will eventually slow down. Once you past 36 that’s almost inevitable. And we’re talking two full seasons of him being 36 and 37 making 50 and 53 millions, in the ’24/’25 and ’25/’26 seasons, when i think Booker will make very big money too. That could prevent us to be competitive at all in those seasons. ~Domenico Monardo~
